It’s not unreasonable to spend a Sunday morning in Milwaukee sipping mimosas, bloody marys or Alterra coffee, listening to Dewey Gill’s Sunday Morning Big Band show on WMSE 91.7 FM, eating breakfast foods in a neighborhood favorite like oh, say, Beans and Barley. And if you’re us, you figure out a way to do all this while simultaneously handing out some film festival awards.
That’s exactly what we did this past Sunday, at the incredible home of dear, generous Milwaukee Film friend Andy Nunemaker. Our great friends at Beans and Barley provided the breakfast, proper morning beverages were served, and Dewey Gill broadcast his Sunday Morning Big Band show live on location! What did we do? We gathered together many of the folks who made this year’s festival possible, including (and especially) the filmmakers. And then we handed out the following awards:
Competition Winner
Crulic - The Path to Beyond (dir. Anca Damian)
Competition: Honorable Mention
5 Broken Cameras (dirs. Emad Burnat, Guy Davidi)
Competition: Best Acting

We’ll announce those winners once the festival ends this Thursday, October 11, and post 'em for all the world to see.
