These aren't your parents' films.
Milwaukee Film's Teen Selection Committee proudly presents Teen Screen, a program of films selected by teens, for teens (and everyone else too!)

This series of fresh stories about contemporary teen life and issues that matter to young audiences in our city are perfect for anyone who cares about what teens care about.

Want to channel that passion for cinema into selecting films for the next Milwaukee Film Festival?

Then, our Teen Screen Selection Committee is for you!

This selection committee will meet weekly for ten sessions on Tuesdays, 5:00-7:00 p.m., January 2 through March 12, following an orientation meeting on December 19, with the goal of selecting films for the 2024 Milwaukee Film Festival's Teen Screen program (April 11-April 25). Expect to commit an hour or more per meeting (we sometimes screen certain films during the meeting, as a group), plus a few hours of viewing films on your own time.

The sessions will close with some Teen Screen marketing and community engagement—another opportunity for teens to flex their writing and public speaking talents.

During the fest, Teen Screen selection committee will have opportunities to do live intros and host filmmaker Q&As! We estimate the selection committee meetings and festival participation to be a commitment of about 40 hours total.

The Teen Screen Selection Committee program is FREE for all participants, thanks to generous support from sponsors and partners who value your voices.

This application will close on Monday, December 4, 11:59 p.m., and all applicants will be notified of their status by Friday, December 8.
